A relaxed wedding morning celebration at Coombe Abbey Hotel, Coventry.
Coombe Abbey is a large impressive former monastery and as such is a fantastic wedding venue. Dark gothic interiors, contrast with the open expanse of uniform gardens and an impressive lake while the Abbey exterior serves as an amazing backdrop.
An early start. Preparations were in full swing by 6.30am, tea and pastries were served from 9am for the guests and the ceremony started at 10am, afterwards it was cupcakes and drinks on the terrace, by 12.30 Mr and Mrs Bertram were off on their honeymoon.
A black and white colour theme, the bridesmaids wore black dresses with white rose bouquets, while Jess wore an impressive wedding dress by Mori Lee http://www.morilee.co.uk complemented with a bouquet of black roses. Stunning!
The wedding was a real joy to photograph, there was so many opportunities for great composed photographs and the weather and light were fantastic. Jess and Chris were evidently happy and smiled throughout the morning, making my role as photographer so easy and enjoyable and I hope this shows in the photographs.
